A small car rental in Gandia competes with international aggregators on one thing: honesty. The site shows every car with its real seasonal prices and a rental calculator, and turns a visit into a pre-filled WhatsApp message in the visitor’s language.
Gandia Renta Car is a small local car rental in Gandia, on the coast of Valencia. Its competitors are the big rental aggregators, and its advantage is everything they are known for not doing: no hidden fees, insurance included, free cancellation, no prepayment, and a small deposit that can be paid in cash or by any card - no credit card required. Cars are delivered to the hotels of Gandia Playa and to the train station.
The site had to make that difference obvious in seconds, show the real price of every car for the visitor’s dates, and make booking as easy as sending a message - to tourists who speak English, Spanish or Russian.
The owner answers clients personally on WhatsApp, so the site doesn’t pretend to be a booking engine. Every car page ends with a “Book on WhatsApp” button that opens a chat with a pre-filled message: which car, in the visitor’s language, with a line for the rental dates. The client only fills in the dates and presses send.
There are no forms on the site at all: nothing to fill in for the client, and no personal data collected by the site itself.
Each car has a rate matrix: four seasons by eight rental lengths, from one day to a month and more, plus extras such as a child seat or a second driver. Car pages show it three ways: season price tiles, a full price table, and a calculator where the visitor drags a slider from 1 to 31 days and sees the daily rate and the total.
The site is static, but prices depend on today’s date. If the season were baked into the HTML at build time, the site would show the wrong prices the day the season changes. Instead, small Svelte components work out the current season in the browser, so the “from” price and the calculator are always right without rebuilding the site.
The home page opens with the offer and a stylised map of the Valencia region, drawn from province shapes projected in advance - the browser downloads a ready-made SVG instead of a mapping library. Below it the fleet can be filtered by gearbox and fuel, followed by a FAQ and the contact details.
Each of the eight cars has its own page in three languages: photo gallery, specifications, prices and calculator.
In the structured data, the company is described once as a schema.org AutoRental with a stable identifier that every page refers to. Car pages are marked up as a rented Car with an Offer priced per day - not as a product for sale. The English, Spanish and Russian versions make up one site and are linked with hreflang, so search engines show each visitor their own language.
The site is also built for AI assistants: every page has a Markdown twin, and llms.txt and llms-full.txt describe the business and the fleet. They are generated at build time from the same data as the HTML, so they never fall out of sync.
The “Where to find us” map works without tracking: it uses OpenStreetMap instead of an embedded Google map, so no third-party cookies are set before the visitor consents. Compliance is covered by a Spanish legal notice, privacy and cookie policies, consent records kept on the Yatoday platform, and a record of processing activities for the business.
